Well the April fools post was supposed to have an April fool’s joke in it, but the joke was on me because my part of the post along with the first picture got lost in translation; Internet translation to be exact. The internet room in our hotel reminds me more of a computer lab on a college campus run by a college student. The "service" person was irritated at my broken Russian request for help to change the language to English. And to top it off after spending over an hour trying to get a post and 1 measly picture submitted I got an error message. One error message doesn’t sound that bad does it… unless it’s in RUSSIAN! And you lose an hours worth of data. Anyway, as I booted up the computer to write this, I realized what was most important about today – our family. Kayla set the picture (that we finally just posted) to our wallpaper so it comes up every time with our family of five as our background. That puts things in perspective doesn’t it? While I’m saying that posting to the internet is not the most important thing on our trip, I also want to say how much it means to me that all of you posted comments. As we read through them tonight after a very rough day, they all made us smile. So thank you ALL for your comments, thoughts, prayers, and good humor. The comments and you all mean the world to us.
Kade, Dima, and Anya are all wonderful and I am so looking forward to all the awesome memories we will make together. It is worth it and God is good!!!
To lighten things up a bit, I would like to share a few situations with you that neither you nor I would have expected on this trip.
Having to climb six flights of stairs in our hotel to go to the bathroom in our room because the bathroom in the lobby requires hrivna(cash) and the elevator is too slow.
When the taxi driver cant make change for 50 hrivna (equivalent US$10.00 bill).
When you turn on the light switch before entering the ‘toilet’ room because it is behind the door on the outside, and find that you, instead, turned out the light on your translator taking a shower in the next ‘room’.
Well it is late or early or both depending on your perspective or mine and I think I’m probably getting hard to understand so I’ll say goodnight for now. Goodnight!
Scott
p.s. more pictures are on the way. I promise.

Praise God, praise God, praise God!!!! We are SOOOO excited for you all. What an incredible journey for God to bring together such an incredible and beautiful family! Your children are so precious! I can only imagine that you are dying to shower them with hugs and kisses, because I am, too! I know God will honor your self-control as they warm up to you. Kade, I know they are loving you!! Just like John David, they will be saying "Kade! Kade! Kade!" I'm sad that I'm not home and was a day late in getting to see you all, but I'm so happy for you! So - give us the scoop of sizes and age appropriate toys they will like so we can start shopping for these little darlings. We are praying!!
With so much love and joy and continued prayers, Ginny, Travis and John David
Oh Thompsons!!! Anya and Dima are absolutely adorable. You all go together so wonderfully. We are so happy for you. You all really look precious together.. it is very awesome to see. Hope you find a suitable apartment soon, that you will be comfy and feel 'at home'. Hope you get to rest soon too. Love ya - Gayle, Tony and Abbey
(okay, I just posted this comment on the wrong day - I have not quite figured out this modern day communication very well - sorry!)
What a beautiful family picture! I just got goosebumps and tears when I saw it - I cannot wait to meet these precious children. Thanks for sharing them with us already!
Kade, it sounds like you already have this big brother role figured out - they are going to realize that they have hit the jackpot on big brothers! They probably think you are the coolest!!
Cooper was at the Dinosaur musuem in Norman last week and we saw a globe. He asked where he lived and then I tried to show him where you were - he said, "Whoa!"
God bless all 5 of you! Stay safe!
Thanks for the updates.

How exciting to get some new cousins! God is delivering them from all over the world! And to think that He had these two set aside for you three since before time began!!!!
And Kayla, who knows but that God has given you your love of scrapbooking for such a time as this.
I can't wait to see the family together in person. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Jill (and the rest of the NC crowd)

Hey, Thompsons! I'm just now getting around to reading all your blogs (this is the first time I've ever done this blog thing). Wow. I could hardly hold back the tears. I'm so grateful for the internet -- and from now on I won't miss a day of your adventures! You'll be happy to know the house across the street from you finally sold. I haven't met our new neighbors yet, but we've been praying for just the right ones -- I'll bet you have, too! We got some long-needed rain, so things should be nice and green and flowers in bloom when you get back. =) See you soon! Love, Dottie
Hey, Kade, how's it going? I saw the picture of your brother and sister! I can't wait for you to get back home so I can meet them. Are you learning to speak Russian? Can you do e-mail? My address is Lightning209@sbcglobal.net See you soon. David

What precious gifts from God! Praise be to the Lord! As frustrating as the bureaucracy is, I'm sure it is bearable now that you have met and are able to spend good family time together. We are thinking and praying for you - you must all be on cloud nine!
Love, Greg Maren and Markus
